How to Prevent Gun Violence: The First Step is Showing Up

Ceasefire Oregon Education Foundation (COEF) along with Gun Owners for Responsible Ownership (GOFRO) and Moms Demand Action will come together on Saturday, May 13, in Bend to host a community conversation about gun violence and what can be done to prevent it.

Special guests include the High Desert Chapter of the National Organization for Women.

Penny Okamoto from COEF will discuss the current state and federal bills and present information about suicide prevention in rural Oregon.

Paul Kemp from GOFRO will discuss Oregon’s concealed handgun licenses and the need for safe storage of firearms.

Moms Demand Action will discuss their work including the BeSMART program.
